In recent weeks there has been widespread damage to homes and belongings of residents in the farming regions of New South Wales and Queensland where they have been faced with bushfires that have even taken three lives with many people injured.
As well as the recent fires we have also seen some of the toughest times for parts of the country in drought and we’ve been asked how is the best way people can help.

Drought Angels
TUFF is a supporter of Drought Angels which offers assistance to farming families affected by drought and fire. The support includes stock feed, limited financial support, local produce vouchers. FOR THOSE AFFECTED
For those who’ve lost their homes to the fire, the Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment and the Disaster Recovery Allowance has been activated to provide financial assistance. Payments will provide $1000 for adults and $400 for children.
There is also a Disaster Recovery Allowance that provides 13 weeks of income support to compensate people for loss of income. Fire victims can contact Centrelink to receive their payments. READ MORE
